Jacksonville, Florida – Spring Break

What a wonderful vacation in Jacksonville, the highlight of which was swimming with dolphins at the Dolphin Conservation Center, Marineland. I highly recommend the Full Immersion Program, as you get a 30 minute instruction and 30 minutes+ IN THE WATER with the dolphins. And I mean IN THE WATER! Not just on the shelf, but swimming in the deep tank, feeding them, watching them swim under water and stroking, stroking, stroking. groupdolphin.jpgThey are wonderful.

A dolphin’s fin has the same structure as a human hand. We all started in the ocean; what if we came out and the dolphins stayed in. A parallel evolutionary line. They are smart creatures, just like humans – they just communicate differently!
